Freightliner Trucks Honor New York City

New York has been named the first Freightliner Trucks Hardest Working City of 2016.

The awards honor cities fueling community growth and innovation, with New York the first of four U.S. cities set to gain the recognition this year. Freightliner Trucks saying the Big Apple has a remarkable relationship between investments in work trucks and thriving economies.

“They don’t call us the city that never sleeps for no reason. We’re the largest regional economy in the U.S., we employ more than 230,000 in manufacturing jobs, and are in one of the biggest building booms of our generation,”

“It’s no surprise New York City made the ‘Hardest Working Cities’ list and we’re excited to celebrate the hard work happening in our city.”

A formal award presentation will be held on April 21 in New York and prior to that Freightliner will also make surprise gift and food deliveries at work sites around the city to thank workers for their contributions.

“We’re excited to honor four more ‘Hardest Working Cities’ this year, kicking-off with New York City, because it’s clear successful economies count on work trucks, and the men and women who operate them, for essential jobs such as building highways, delivering construction materials and hauling refuse,” said Allan Haggai, marketing communications manager, Freightliner Trucks.

“Hard work matters and it should be celebrated.”
